Advanced Education Program in General Dentistry (AEGD): Curriculum

The AEGD resident participates with the other postgraduate residents at the School of Dental Medicine in the required core curriculum. In addition, residents attend seminars given by dental school and program faculty. With the exception of a few procedures, virtually all dental laboratory work is sent out to commercial laboratories. The didactic program constitutes approximately 15% of the total experience. There is a rotation through the Multidisciplinary Implant Center, which provides both clinical and didactic experience in the placement and restoration of dental implants.
