Welcome to ESTOP 2005.
Schedule of Events:
The 2005 Annual meeting of the Eastern Society of Teachers of Oral Pathology (ESTOP) will be held in Pittsburgh, PA. at the Holiday Inn Select--Oakland from Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9.

 		Friday, October 7, 6:00-8:00 p.m.:
Welcome Reception in the Oakland Room. Open bar, hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, and desserts.  This should be a substantial meal for some.  Others may want to go out to dinner afterwards.
Saturday, October 8, 8:30-11:30 a.m.:
Continental breakfast in the Oakland Room.

Please fill out the meeting registration form here.  Send form and payment by mail. You will be notified when we receive your registration form. The meeting qualifies for 6 continuing education credits.
   
Submission of cases for Sunday:

Each contributor is expected to present a case that would be of use in teaching dental hygiene students, dental students, residents (dental or medical), or other health care students and professionals.  Clinical photos and radiographs are highly recommended, if possible. It might be fun this year to collect cases that masquerade as other things, such as "periapical" lesions that are not endodontic in origin.

We prefer that the cases be presented digitally, in PowerPoint format. We will have a projector and laptop computer with CD-ROM drive. if you must bring Kodachromes, let us know so that we can have a slide projector available. Please e-mail your cases to me (Kurt Summersgill, kfs8@pitt.edu), preferably by August 15. If everyone sends his/her case(s) in a timely manner, we might be able to hand you a CD of all the cases at the end of the meeting. Otherwise, we will send a CD of the presentations. Featured Speaker:
E. Leon Barnes, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Barnes was appointed Professor in the Department of Pathology, Professor of Otolaryngology, School of Medicine. He has been a professor and the Chairman of the Department of Oral Medicine and Pathology at the School of Dental Medicine since 1997. He has authored several books and numerous publications; his latest book is Surgical Pathology of the Head and Neck, 2nd edition.

 
 
Hotel Reservations
The "convention hotel" is the Holiday Inn Select University Center in the Oakland neighborhood, 100 Lytton Ave. You must make reservations directly with the hotel, (Tel: 1-412-682-6200) and mention ESTOP for the discount.
The cost should be $104+tax = $119.70. The block of rooms will be held until September 30, after which, rooms will be on a space-available basis, but not at the discount rate.
