4.6 Program completion behavior

Program completion behavior is the behavior a program exhibits when a user has completed the program.

4.6.1. Is the end of the lesson indicated? The end of the lesson should be clearly indicated.

4.6.2. Is the learner taken to the correct place? In stand-alone programs, the program should exit the instruction and return the user to screen from where they launched the program. On the Web, they should be taken to the home page for that site or another appropriate location. The user should not be left on the last page of the lesson.

4.6.3. Is the learner given appropriate credit? The user should be informed of the credit or score they receive for the lesson before exiting. In continuing education settings, they should also receive instructions on when and how they will receive CE credits.
