2.4 Organization and sequence |
Most often, information is best presented in a logical organization and sequence. This format helps the learner retain the material better.
2.4.1. Is the sequence of presentations appropriate? Some subjects have a well-established organizational structure that should be maintained. If a traditional organizational structure is not followed, careful evaluation should assess the effectiveness of this new organization.
2.4.2. Does the lesson organization parallel the subject-matter organization? The lesson's organization should reflect the subject matter's organizational structure.
2.4.3. Is the organization made clear to the student? Whenever possible, a table of contents or a diagram to illustrate the organizational structure of the subject matter should be provided.
