Research Interests

Bone tissue engineering with biodegradable metal: Biodegradable metal has appropriate character for bone tissue engineering, especially for load-bearing applications. We have focused on the porous magnesium alloys. Our goal is to analyze the comperehensive biomechanism of bone regeneration on bone marrow stromal cells interacted with these alloys in vitro and in vivo to find a suitable condition for clinical application.

Salivary gland regeneration with adult human stem cells: We are trying to find a suitable scaffold and extra cellular matrix to engineer salivary gland with adult human salivary gland stem/progenitor cells in vivo.
