Jill Beach is a 1993 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Dental Hygiene Program, and received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia University in 1994. Ms. Beach returned to West Virginia University as a Proctor & Gamble Oral Health Fellow to earn her Master of Science in Dental Hygiene with a focus on education in 1996, and from there joined the dental hygiene faculty at the University of Pittsburgh Dental Hygiene Program as an Assistant Professor until 1998. After the privilege of serving patients in private dental practice for 18 years, she rejoined the Dental Hygiene faculty at the University of Pittsburgh in 2017 to continue her work in education.
Ms. Beach currently serves as the course director for Dental Health Education, Methods & Practicum and Public Health Dentistry, as well as assisting with various dental hygiene labs and clinics. She maintains her own clinical practice with patient treatment in University Dental Health Services. In addition, she presents in the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Dental Medicine Continuing Education Center.
Ms. Beach maintains membership in the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), the American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA), Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene Association (PDHA), and Western Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene Association (WPDHA), and holds a Pennsylvania Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner certification.
