Dr. Beatrice Leung

(Graduated Prosthodontic Residency Program, June 2005)

– successfully passed the fellowship examinations in Prosthodontics administered by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.  She is now a registered prosthodontist in Canada.

- successfully passed all four (4) phases of the examination for the American Board of Prosthodontics. She is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontists.

 Dr. Mohsen Azarbal  (full-time faculty)

- presented “Passivity of Fit Between One-Piece Implant Substructure Versus Sectioned and Soldered Substructure” at the 84th Annual Session and Exhibition of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) held March 17-21, 2007 in New Orleans. 

Dr. Arthur Rodriguez  (full-time faculty)

- Member, Board of Directors of American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics for 2007. 

- Chair, Membership Committee for American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.

Four (4) prosthodontic residents are currently pursuing master's degrees, in addition to their training for a Certificate in Prosthodontics.



DR. TAREK SHARKAS

- has been selected as one of the 18 applicants to receive the American College of Prosthodontists Educator Foundation Research Fellowship Award.  Dr. Sharkas, a first-year prosthodontic resident, is pursuing his Master's in Dental Science degree.          

The faculty, fellow residents, and the staff of the Prosthodontic Residency Program congratulate him as a recipient of this prestigious award.


DR. JOHN FERENCE

- successfully completed the examination for the American Board of Prosthodontics.  He has achieved the status as a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.  Dr. Ference was a past prosthodontic resident ('03), and is presently a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine.
