The Department of Prosthodontics

The faculty and residents in the Department of Prosthodontics are engaged in several clinically-oriented research projects with the overall philosophy and objective of answering clinical questions in all aspects of prosthodontics. Research projects include:

1) An in vitro study of reproducibility in mounting casts using different occlusal registration materials

2) Flap or punch tissue management for the placement of endosseous dental implants 

3) Current ceramic materials utilized in the fabrication of full coverage porcelain restorations, porcelain to metal restorations, and ceramic cores
