Life in Pittsburgh

It was once a city known for steel and industry. Factories lined the shores of the Monongahelia, Allegheny and Ohio rivers. Smoke filled the skies and cars drove with lights on in the middle of the day to cut through the darkness. As you look around Pittsburgh today, it's hard to imagine the industrial past that built this city.

Today, magnificent buildings create a scenic skyline, people come to applaude performances of theater, dance and world-class music, streets are alive with shoppers, cafes and bistros, and fans flock to watch championship teams battle at PNC Park, Heinz Field and Mellon arena. Pittsburgh has emerged from its past to become a city of  vibrant nightlife, fantastic neighborhoods and wonderful people. A city  full of excitement and endless possibilities.

From the restaurants and bars of the South Side to the unique shops  and markets of the Strip District, Pittsburgh has become a place of  entertainment that draws visitors from far and wide who come to  sample all the city has to offer.
