Originally born in North Tonawanda, NY, Kathleen Deeley has also lived in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan throughout her life.  She later came to Pennsylvania, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh.

Kathleen currently manages the Vieira Laboratory as a research specialist, playing a pivotal role in the organization of samples, tracking of supplies and record keeping relative to the lab.  She also performs DNA extractions from both blood and saliva, PCR and assists in various research endeavors and assays in conjunction with Dr. Vieira.
