Himanshi Aggarwal BDS, MDS, MS

Associate Professor

Dr. Himanshi Aggarwal is a board-eligible maxillofacial prosthodontist with clinical expertise in digital rehabilitation workflows, implant-supported reconstructions, and comprehensive prosthodontic care. She has authored more than 100 publications, including Cochrane systematic reviews, clinical trials, and studies on 3D-printed denture materials, implant prosthodontics, and digital maxillofacial technologies. Her research has been supported by the UAB Graduate Research Fellowship, the Indian Council of Medical Research Senior Research Fellowship and IPS-JPS International Scientific Exchange Fellowship for Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan.

She serves as a reviewer for leading journals such as the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Journal of Prosthodontics, and the Journal of Oral Rehabilitation etc. and previously served as Section Editor (Maxillofacial Section) for the Journal of Indian Prosthodontic Society. She has received multiple national awards for her oral and poster presentations. Her work integrates technology-driven innovation with patient-centered rehabilitation.

Maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation: digital workflows, intraoral and facial prostheses, accuracy and outcomes in extraoral implant systems.

Digital prosthodontics: 3D-printed prostheses, AI-driven design, CAD-CAM materials in craniofacial rehabilitation.

Biomaterials & prosthesis longevity: mechanical properties of denture base polymers, biofilm resistance, and antifungal material innovation.

Craniofacial functional outcomes: speech, mastication, quality-of-life metrics, and treatment-oriented classification systems for maxillofacial defects.

Evidence synthesis: systematic reviews of intervention studies

Implant dentistry: loading protocols, fixed full-arch restorations, occlusal device accuracy, and maintenance protocols.
