Margarita S. Katser DDS

Dr. Katser is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology from SUNY at Stony Brook and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Katser completed her residency in oral and maxillofacial pathology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She subsequently joined the University of Michigan School of Dentistry as a pathologist and adjunct clinical assistant professor, later completing a fellowship in oncology-focused dental care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Katser's practice has encompassed surgical and clinical pathology, general dentistry, and direct care for patients with complex medical needs, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and those with a history of malignancy. Her scholarly interests center on health professions education and intergroup dynamics, informing her work on curriculum development and student engagement.
