Dr. Elizabeth Ann Bilodeau earned her BS, DMD, and MSEd degrees at the University of Pennsylvania. At the University of Pittsburgh she received her MD and subsequently completed graduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the School of Dental Medicine in 2011. Dr. Bilodeau joined the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2011 and serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences.
She currently serves as the course director for the predoctoral Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology course, the dental hygiene General and Oral Pathology course, and co-directs the resident Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology course. She is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and participates in the faculty UDHS biopsy service.
She is actively involved in first professional admissions at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine serving as the Director of Admissions. She also serves the school on the Infection Control, Academic Integrity Committee, and the Faculty Advisory Committee. She is an elected member of the Faculty Assembly in the University of Pittsburgh Faculty Senate.
Her research interests include the clinicopathologic, immunohistochemical, and molecular features of various odontogenic and salivary tumors. Dr. Bilodeau is on the editorial board of the journal Head and Neck Pathology. She serves as a reviewer for several journals including The Journal of Maxillofacial Surgery, Head and Neck Pathology, and Oral Surgery Oral Medicine Oral Pathology Oral Radiology. She has been published in The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, Head and Neck, The Journal of the American Dental Association, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America, as well as other publications.
