A Pitt employee for 35 years, Kathy started in the Registrar’s Office until 1990 then spent twenty years in the Computer Science Department. She started working as the Grants Administrator for Dr. Marazita and CCDG in 2010.
In 2003, she earned a Certificate of Statistical Quality Control and has an interest in astronomy taking a few classes at the Allegheny Observatory. In 2008, Kathy went on a short-term study abroad with Dr. Tony Novosel to Northern Ireland meeting members of the Loyalists and IRA.
When her daughter Kerry went to college, Kathy joined the CGS student government and served as Vice-President and President. In 2009, after many years of taking courses at night or on weekends at the College of General Studies at Pitt, she received a B.S. in Natural Sciences.
In her spare time, Kathy loves visiting her daughter and babysitting the grand dog. She also enjoys having Pitt football season tickets, playing volleyball, and taking classes.
