This position focuses on delivering dental care and leading dental staff to maintain a high level of service within the facility. It supports safe practices, organized operations, and strong teamwork across the dental unit. As a Dentist with the Department of Corrections, you will perform the following duties:
Dental Examinations: Complete periodontal exams, review medical histories, and diagnose oral conditions
Treatment Delivery: Perform restorative, endodontic, surgical, and preventative procedures
Care Coordination: Consult with specialists and refer patients for advanced care when needed
Team Leadership: Lead and train dental staff and evaluate work outcomes
Operational Safety: Follow all required security protocols, tool controls, and material handling rules

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. You will not be required to work evenings, weekends, or on-call duties.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirements:
You must possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
