Jim Earle is the Vice Dean of Operations at Pitt Dental Medicine. In this role, Dr. Earle is responsible for collaborating with other senior leaders to set the strategic direction of the School. In addition, he oversees many of the business and operations functions of the School including marketing and communications, accounting and finance, human resources, IT, facilities, development, and alumni relations.
Prior to joining Pitt Dental Medicine, Dr. Earle was the Associate Vice Chancellor for Auxiliary Services. In this role, he oversaw a team of more than 300 employees who were responsible for housing, dining, parking, stores, conference services, the mailroom and print shop, among other areas.
Dr. Earle started his career at Pitt in the athletic department where he worked for eleven years in various capacities. After earning his undergraduate degree, Dr. Earle worked in the corporate sector for five years before joining Pitt.
