Information Sessions and Tours
Information sessions and tours typically take place before the application submission date. Please visit DMD Events for information on upcoming virtual and in-person information sessions. In-person information sessions include a tour of the school.
If you are a member of a predental club or student group and would like to schedule a tour or presentation with the admissions team for your group, please  email the Office of Student Affairs.
In fairness to all applicants, no personal meetings will be held during the application cycle.
Visit Days
Visit Days are by invitation only to candidates that have been selected for interviews. Candidates will receive invitations individually.
Student Research
Student research opportunities in many different aspects of dental research are available for University of Pittsburgh undergraduate students. Potential research topics include craniofacial genetics, tissue regeneration, informatics, public health, and many other fields.

Shadowing
Shadowing is a valuable experience for anyone wishing to become a dental student.
At this time, Pitt Dental Medicine does not provide shadowing opportunities at the School or with local dentists. We recommend that you contact your family dentist for shadowing opportunities.
