Dr. Kelly Wagner serves as Assistant Dean for Clinical Administration and Quality Care and is an Assistant Professor in the Dental Hygiene department. She is the course director for Dental Pharmacology, a co-course director for the Peer Tutoring courses offered to second-year dental hygiene students, and course director for two online courses that are part of the dental hygiene bachelor’s degree completion program, Health Management Seminar and Health Management Practicum.
Dr. Wagner graduated in 2007 from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. In 2013, she earned a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene at the University of Maryland – Baltimore, with a concentration in education. She completed her Doctorate of Education in Higher Education from the University of Pittsburgh and received her degree in June 2025. Dr. Wagner has over ten years of experience in private practice dentistry, and she also was an adjunct faculty member in the dental hygiene program at Northern Virginia Community College from 2014 – 2018.
Her research interests include outcomes and markers for student success, effects of various delivery systems integrating dental hygiene and public health, and systemic diseases and oral inflammatory markers. Dr. Wagner is a member of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), and the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists’ Association (PDHA).
