The Langkamp Allison Award recognizes a third-year dental student interested in pursuing a career in dental education. The award will provide support to the recipients to attend the annual ADEA session from March 11-14, 2023, in Portland, Ore.
This year, two award recipients have shown their passion and commitment to teaching and desire to pursue an academic career and contribute to the greater community.
Katherine Glickman and Nishant Chovatiya.
Katherine Glickman has been recognized by nominating faculty for her efforts in developing a social story board (or book) for patients that struggle to feel comfortable when coming to a dentist as well as her teaching efforts with the first-year dental students. Her positive attitude and leadership skills are commendable.
Nishant Chovatiya is recognized for his unwavering commitment to delivery of highly skilled oral health care and his passion towards teaching, scholarly activity and leadership. He has co-authored a book chapter and has a strong interest in academics. We look forward to seeing him as a successful dental educator in the future.
