DMD Students Craft Miniature Wax Sculptures in Class

Faculty and Students in the Anatomy and Morphology course holding tiny wax sculptures
Who could have guessed that the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine DMD Class of 2029 could have such fun with their first assignment in the Dental Anatomy and Morphology course?

wax sculpture of Pitt CathedralStudents were asked to create tiny wax sculptures to test their skills in the traditional medium, which then were judged by fellow students and faculty. Congratulations to the three award winners, who realized their creativity through a peacock, an igloo and a duck pond scene.

Pictured above with their sculptures are DMD Class of 2029 students Eileen Shelton, Christine Masten, and Sean Farrell, together with faculty members, Drs. Grace Zhang, Mark Shaw, Anchal Malik, Pam Tisot, Mark Nigra, and Craig Dietz.
