Dr. Kelly Williams Named Vice Chair of Clinical Care in the Department of Periodontics

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Kelly Williams will take on a new role as Vice Chair of Clinical Care in the Department of Periodontics. She will continue as Program Director of the residency program. This new responsibility will allow Dr. Williams to continue to enhance clinical excellence and focus some of her efforts on increasing the impact of the clinical operations for patients, residents, faculty members, and colleagues. 

 

Dr. Williams is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Advanced Dental Education Residency Program in Periodontics in the Department of Periodontics and Preventive Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She received her BS degree at Allegheny College and Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Williams then completed her specialty certificate in Periodontology in 2010 here at the University of Pittsburgh as well. 

 

Dr. Williams is Board Certified in Periodontology and has been active in a number of associations, including the American Dental Education Association, the International Association of Dental Research, and the American Academy of Periodontics.
