Dr. Joan Zolkoski Witt earned her BS in biology at Carlow University in Pittsburgh, and her DDS degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Her post-graduate general practice residency was completed at the Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Pittsburgh.
Dr. Witt maintained her general dentistry private practice in Pittsburgh from 1984-2019. She was a member of the faculty of the School of Dental Medicine Department of Restorative Dentistry and Comprehensive Care with a focus on diagnosis and treatment planning from 1984-89. In 2016, after raising her family, she returned to Pitt Dental Medicine in the same department.
Dr. Witt is past-president of the Pittsburgh Academy of Dentistry, past secretary/treasurer of the South Hills Dental Society, and current member of the American Dental Association (ADA).
