Adrien M. Roberts RDH, MSDH

Assistant Professor

Adrien Roberts is a full-time Assistant Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from West Liberty University in 2004 and later returned to complete a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2022.  Before entering academia, Adrien spent 18 years in private practice and three years working on the business side of dentistry, experiences that shaped her understanding of patient care, practice management, and the realities of the profession.

Since joining Pitt, Adrien has been actively involved in both teaching and clinical education.  She has provided clinical instruction, taught introduction to Dentistry and Dental Health Education, and supported students in labs such as Dental Materials and Local Anesthesia.  She currently serves as the course director for Dental Hygiene Radiology 1 and Radiology 2.  In addition, she is the Chair of the Dental Hygiene Admissions Committee and serves as a member of the Dean's Council.  Adrien is deeply committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of dental hygienists.  She is passionate about helping students grow not only as clinicians, but as confident professionals and future leaders in healthcare.
