DRDR Application Requirements

Application Requirements for a Research Position with the Dental Registry and DNA Repository (DRDR)

To be considered for a research position with the DRDR, please submit your resume and a short personal statement to Kathleen Deeley (PDF and .doc files are preferred.)

After your application is received, it will be reviewed and you may be contacted for an interview.

In order to perform student research at the School of Dental Medicine, you will be required to enroll for course credit. After you are accepted into the Vieira Lab, you will need to speak with your advisor about your best option for obtaining the required credit.

The number of credits you are enrolled in determines the amount of time you will spend doing research at the DRDR each week (typically five hours per week = one credit). Your weekly schedule at the DRDR will be determined by your class schedule and will be agreed upon with the research coordinator.

You will be required to attend a mandatory monthly meeting. The meeting time varies semester to semester, but is usually early morning. You will be told the time and day of the meeting at your interview.

Thank you for your interest in the DRDR.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Kathleen Deeley or call 412-648-2495.
